What We Do

LISTEN ATTENTIVELY

Our Occupational Therapist who is a Certified Living in Place Professional (CLIPP) and a Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS) will discuss with you how modifications to your home can make it more comfortable and accessible for a lifetime of living.

RECOMMEND DESIGN SOLUTIONS TO MEET YOUR CURRENT AND FUTURE NEEDS

Our medical professionals are  trained to assess every task you perform during each day...like cooking, cleaning, and performing personal hygiene tasks... just to name a few.   Having trouble reaching your kitchen cabinets, stepping into the bath or climbing up the stairs...we can help.  Our goal is to identify the personal needs of all family members and discuss design and product solutions that will maximize everyone's comfort and safety in your home.

COLLABORATE WITH OTHER BUILDING PROFESSIONALS TO ENSURE QUALITY OUTCOMES

You've made the decision to remodel that kitchen or bath and maybe install  a stair glide so you or a family member can get upstairs to the bedroom.  We'll be with you when you meet with your contractor and designer to discuss those plans.  Our goal is to work with your building professionals to ensure that their product and design strategies are the right fit  for your needs as well as the needs of your family and friends.

TESTIMONIALS

A Word From Our Customers

"Diane assessed my parents’ home because my dad is battling Parkinson’s Disease, and moving him downstairs to the first floor will make it much safer and easier for him.  Diane did a phenomenal job in evaluating the home and making recommendations as to what changes to make, both inside and outside of the home.

My parents want to “grow old together” in the only home they’ve ever owned.  With Diane’s help, it made the decision to make the renovations much easier.  I highly recommend Diane Vitillo for assessing anyone’s home as an Occupational Therapist who is a Certified Aging in Place Specialist”

C.A., Medford, NJ

“I knew my husband would have difficulty accepting the fact that modifications needed to be made in our home to make it safer for him due to his impaired mobility.  But, Diane listened attentively to his concerns, addressed all of his questions, and remained calm, composed and empathetic during the entire interview process.  This made it easier for my husband to accept how modifications in the home could add to his safety and quality of life.”

A. W., Princeton, NJ

”I had no idea this type of consultative service existed.  Having a rehabilitation professional evaluate my home and watch how my husband performs mobility tasks throughout the home has helped us make decisions on what changes we should make.”
